Masculine Men
The world and our culture have decided that our men should act more like women than men. We have feminized our men. Women often desire men to be more like their girlfriends than to exhibit the masculine roles that God has designed them to live out in this world. God created men and women to be different, and ultimately to compliment one another. Men of all seasons of life, even little boys are confused. Biblical masculinity is no longer taught in most churches, and the culture does not offer anything in the way of traditional roles to look to and emulate.
When now President Donald Trump went down as a bullet meant to take his life grazed his ear, he rose up, pumped his fist and shouted, “fight!” President Trump was exhibiting a warrior spirit and it resonated with men of all ages. There is a warrior spirit in all men that demands evil be put down and justice lifted up.
As women we can, and should PRAY that more men will have the courage to live out the roles of provider, protector, sage, warrior, husband , father - just to name a few. Yes, our men will make mistakes and sin, but let us help and complete those men in our lives by respecting them and praying for them to boldly live out and model masculinity. Let us also pray that these men will model and inspire little boys and young men, along with their mothers, to grow into masculine men who honor God.
