Men and Work

Adam was placed in the Garden to work. Before the fall he did not struggle in his labor. After the fall a man’s work was cursed in two ways. His work became frustrating, unproductive, and difficult. And, the very ground man was seeking to rule rebelled against him. If man sowed to get wheat and corn, he might get thorns and thistles. Work is not the curse-the work becoming hard and difficult is the curse. Nonetheless a man’s identity is still tied to his work. God created him to work and provide for those in his life.

PRAY that our men will not grow weary in their work because of the curse, but will understand why their work is difficult and as a result will submit to, and trust God as He leads them through the curse perfecting their character and enabling them to produce fruit that lasts forever. Pray that our men will grow in diligence, patience and perseverance as they work to be providers in this world.
